هذا سمير، نائب قائد كتيبة بيت حانون في سرايا القدس. تلك هي الرتبة الأخيرة التي بلغها قبل استشهاده بعد عشرين سنة من الجهاد. دخل السرايا فتىً، وخرج منها قائداً شهيداً. الحديث عن صفاته يطول؛ هدوء بسيط غير مريب، وسماحة صادقة، وتواضع لا يعرف التكلّف.

لكن ما شدّني في سمير أنه خرج من هذه الدنيا دون أن ينال منها شيئاً: لا مالاً، ولا زوجة، ولا أولاداً، ولا وظيفة، ولا راتباً. كان فهمي القاصر، وقلة بصيرتي، يعزوان ذلك إلى سوء الحظ والنصيب، وغفلت عن معنى الزهد.

قد تبدو عبارة أننا لا نكتشف حقيقة من حولنا إلا بعد رحيلهم كليشيه مستهلكة، ولعل ذلك هو تمام معنى الشهادة، أشخاص عاديون تماماً، يشبهوننا، لكنهم في لحظة من الصدق والإرادة يرتقون إلى مرتبة الشهادة، وهناك فقط يُزال عنهم غطاء الدنيا وزينتها، فنراهم على حقيقتهم شهداء علينا نحن الأحياء.

للجهاد في بلادنا هيبة، ولأمراء الفصائل والسرايا والقادة الميدانيين بريق وحضور. إلا سمير. اختار أن يكون خارج هذا كله. رفض راتب الجهاز، وعمل في مهن مختلفة إلى جانب عمله الجهادي الطويل، رغم أن من هم دونه نالوه. حتى سلاحه الشخصي، كان يُخفيه بلا تكلّف، خشية النظرة وما يتبعها من وساوس.

في هذه الحرب، ومنذ يومها الأول، مضى سمير إلى طريقه. صبر وصمد في الشمال، وقاتل في بيت حانون بداية، ثم كان حاضراً في الاجتياح الثاني لجباليا. تنقّل بين بيت لاهيا وجباليا وبيت حانون، يناور ويتحرك، فكان كما قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "رجل ممسك عنان فرسه في سبيل الله، يطير على متنه كلما سمع هيعة أو فزعة".

حتى لقي ربه مقبلاً، في أقصى نقطة من بيت حانون، في يناير 2025. كان فوق الأرض، في منزل تحصّن فيه مع مجموعة من الشبان، في نقطة يصعب تخيّل الوصول إليها، في ذروة حملة الجنرالات على شمال غزة.

BTW I began working as a correspondent five months ago. Since then, I have been trying to obtain a press vest and helmet, but have been unable to find either, despite Gaza being one of the most dangerous places in the world for journalists.
