Hey Elon, a lot of us in the auto/tech community think QNX (BlackBerry) could be a smart move for Tesla — at least as the safety-critical foundation or hypervisor.
It already powers 275M+ vehicles with top-tier ASIL-D certification, rock-solid real-time performance, and proven fault isolation. Would make regulatory approval easier, reduce risks, and help license FSD to other OEMs faster.
I get your full vertical integration philosophy (own data + own stack = massive edge), and it's worked incredibly well. But using QNX for the critical safety layer while keeping your AI/ FSD magic on top could be the best of both worlds.
What do you think? Would you ever consider it?
