@LuddenMark1012@ChiSoxFanMike People please stop trying to put Gonzalez in the OF. It's not an option. He's a 40 grade runner.
And he's not better than Sam.
@Matteberflus1@Sean_W_Anderson I don't think the Sox wanna give up on Kelenic yet.
Eventually someone will get hurt and Gonzalez will get his chance. Or perhaps equally as likely, he'll start playing like he has his entire professional career prior to a month ago and fall back to earth.
@bonballers@bbbbjjjjss@Akermaniac@Mariners The call on the field was he caught the ball. If that's the call, Pereda who was hung out to dry watching between 1st and 2nd should have been called out when he was doubled off 1st. Can't have it both ways. And he definitely was seeking contact
@bonballers@bbbbjjjjss@Akermaniac@Mariners The play never should have happened. It's either a double play or doubled off 1st. Wild call. Undecided on the interference but the base runner definitely was seeking contact. Regardless, never should have happened because the inning should have been over
The Chicago White Sox are LEGIT.
In the last 30 days - their offense ranks:
1st in OPS (.823)
1st in Home Runs (48)
1st in RBIs (140)
1st in OBP (.350)
1st in SLG (.473)
2nd in Batting Average (.261)
@JamesFox917 Sure, but hand the guy $160M now, with presumably the final 2 seasons buying out FA at $30M+ each and the risk just isn't worth the reward imo. Dudes get complacent with that kind of cash. Colson isnt Yoan or Eloy, but I just would let this one marinate a bit more. No rush imo
@J5ger@RickHahnBurner@MelCor454 I get it, but the Sox are gonna have that setback in 18 months anyway. Fine seeing what the next few months have in store, but this team isn't winning anything while he is under contract. It would be a completely different story if he were a typical rookie with 6 yrs of control
