Tiktok has been banned in the US on the grounds that China could use it "to manipulate and control Americans by spreading propaganda and misinformation." In other words, China *might do* exactly what Elon Musk *has done* with X.
It's a blatant double standard.
So it's dangerous for China to have the ability to access our data and manipulate us via social media apps.
But it's okay for America's billionaires to have the ability to access our data and manipulate us via social media apps.
Do I have this right?
This is rich. Pierre wants to ban TikTok in Canada because of supposed influence from foreign shenanigans, but wonโt get a security clearance himself so the public can have faith that he isnโt influenced by foreign shenanigans. #cdnpoli ๐https://t.co/8lZDsU9BG1
This is a disturbing & unprecedented level of interference from the UCP in the open, public process to select police commissioners.
Sadly, itโs not surprising. Smith & her Ministers seem to feel theyโre entitled to control everything, everywhere. #ableg

Fact: Mark Carney DID NOT support:
1. Increasing CPP eligibility age to 67, shocking Canadian seniors.
2. Selling the Canada Wheat Board to the Saudi regime
3. Weakening Canadaโs economy via a one-sided agreement with China (FIPA).
@PierrePoilievre did!
Legault: Trump should be careful, because 64% of aluminum used in the U.S. comes from my province in Canada
Quite a contrast to sell-out Smith

I tuned into a radio show for a minute and wondered who is this ignoramus saying that Danielle Smith is one of the most popular premiers in Canada and that before Liberals oil wasnโt sold to US at a discount.
Itโs Ben Mulroney. Apples do fall far from the tree.

The process to sell off Petro-Canada started in 1991, when Mark Carney was 26.
He had received his bachelorโs degree just 3 years before.
He was still working on his masterโs degree while Petro-Canada was being sold off.
No wonder this party canโt seem to get over 20%.
.@djclimenhaga: If Alberta Premier Danielle Smith intends to defy an all-party, all-province, national consensus on how to respond to Donald Trumpโs tariff threats, she should call a provincial election and get a mandate to do so.
