@Vegasrider2 @Eddie7697 @nicksortor You can just simply apply to become a citizen and become a citizen. No number of years here would allow this guy to become a citizen. The second that visa expired, there was no path.
All government spending is taxation.
This point really needs to be hammered home.
Whatever is not directly taxed is taxed in the form of inflation, as the government prints more money.
Inflation is the worst tax of all, as it punishes those who are just barely making ends meet or have gathered some savings.
In my Bitcoin journey, there have been several books that have been transformative in how I view the world, notably @Saifedean 's "The Bitcoin Standard", "The Fiat Standard", and @LynAldenContact 's "Broken Money".
Friends, family, & colleagues have reached out over the years with a desire to learn more about Bitcoin. Almost always I point to these books, and will continue to do so.
Not all folks eager to learn are willing to commit to a book, though.
In recent days I discovered @satmojoe 's video that I feel compelled to share, as it distills complex information into an easy to understand presentation. To understand Bitcoin one must first understand the problem that Bitcoin solves.
The below video answers this question. Give it a listen, reach out to discuss, and share with others if it moves you the way it did me.

Imagine thinking #Bitcoin is the scam, while you slave away for 45 years, watching inflation devour your savings over time. Then you retire at 70, only to discover the government robbed everything your worked for. The fiat system is the Ponzi. Time to wake up. Study #Bitcoin.
El Salvador Gov holds a fraction of its assets in Bitcoin ( the best performing financial asset since it came into existence 15 years ago)
The US Gov has $35 trillion of debt (growing $2t per year, substantially outpacing GDP or tax receipt growth) on which the entire global bond market rests.
The IMF is concerned about the former.
@CarlBMenger@19fender84 People burned out by working (mom in particular), having toddlers in your 40s, AND trying to raise kids all with less support from aging grandparents. I have 3 - best thing ever but would definitely have had them younger if I could go back. Symptom of the fiat world. Full stop.
@CarlBMenger@19fender84 People delay marriage and kids and are surprised when fertility issues arise in their late 30s (not exactly biologically prime time). And you end up raising kids much more as a nuclear family than an extended family.
@CarlBMenger@19fender84 No, the fiat system encourages fewer kids and having them later. It’s made it so you need dual income, 2 parents working, and outsourcing childcare. Grandparents not meant to be in their late 70s to help raise their grandchildren. You have less energy in your 40s than 30s as well
It was so much easier to control people when they just bought everything we said. But, since we peddled so much disinfo during COVID, people now question us. We'd like to stamp out those questions. Unfortunately, the 1st amendment defends our democracy against <checks notes> us.
The people who manufacture poisons that show up in your food should not be in charge of telling you which poisons can be in your food.
End corruption in government. Reform FDA, USDA, and CDC, so people have real choices and honest information, uncorrupted by corporate influence.
HOLY SH*T @RepThomasMassie calls out the Speaker of the House.
Bravo Mr. Massie for your courage to always do the right thing.
Thomas Massie represents the independent voices of America who are tired of corruption at the highest levels.
