I finally used padlet to share student artwork and swap peer feedback. My 4th graders LOVED it! A whole class without studio practice, and not a single complaint. I learned a lot more about them as artists too. #k12artchat #HappyTeacherMoment

A5) One of the positives of Covid was that we started rethinking norms that had been in place just because it had always been that way. When we went “back to normal”, that fresh perspective vanished too, and I felt like we dumped a lot of good ideas we had started. #k12artchat

A4) We just put together our district art show and….my kids’ artwork is great! Despite the struggles, the students created some amazing work. I’ve made some real connections with them, and it will only get better as I continue with the same students next year. #k12artchat

A3) I was in a new building this year, getting the lay of the land. I’ve been thinking about how I can become more connected with the rest of the school next year. The specialists are pretty isolated, physically in the building and otherwise. #k12artchat

@MsPeachTeaches I stayed at work til it was dark regularly as a new teacher. I didn't mind it though. Now I don't need to devote as much time, and I've gotten used to the fact that there will always be more I could do. The list doesn't end in teaching. #k12artchat

A2) I typically don’t stay too late since I need to pick up my kids and put my mom hat on. I also have afterschool clubs that use my room 2 out of the 4 days I’m in my home building which makes it very difficult to stay after and get work done. #k12artchat
