Parker Williams , KJTMA, 5th grader, tied for 1st place on the elementary level of the City of Glenn Heights Black History Month Essay contest. Ianna Wara, KJTMA 7th grader, was the middle school winner! Both will be recognized at a future Council meeting by Mayor Sonja Brown.

CDGU is excited to share and present "Shop Talk 24" for our middle school male scholars. We have solidified a great group of professionals to come speak and pour into our middle school scholars. This event is open to all 7th and 8th grade young men in the district attend.
Friendly reminder that Friday, Jan. 12 is an Early Release Day in DeSoto ISD and on Monday, Jan. 15, district campuses and offices will be closed in observance of the King holiday.

Today, leaders from DeSoto ISD, the City of DeSoto, Esposure and the DeSoto Development Corporation held a ribbon-cutting ceremony in celebration of the district’s new esports opportunities for scholars at DeSoto High School.
