@akilbello Lots of middle class families with kids in large public schools, even highly regarded ones, feelike they have to hire a private counselor. The counselor to student ratio makes extended individual help pretty much impossible. They are not paying for or getting that level of help.

The cost for them is astronomical. You get a better deal at Cali private schools. No financial aid is given to out of state students (other than federal funding) at the UCs.
