@NGL97230373@CaltechCountry@docmilanfar The difference is bounded, and is indeed bounded by the standard deviation because the only requirement for that to be true is finite variance. Again, the point was the median is not in any way guaranteed to converge to the mean without additional constraints
@NGL97230373@CaltechCountry@docmilanfar Very simple counter: sample from the discrete space: 0, 1 with 0 and 1 being equiprobable. The median can only be take values 0 or 1 (oscillation) while the mean will converge to .5. Not only is the difference not converging to 0, it tends to increase up until .5
@NGL97230373@CaltechCountry@docmilanfar I thought your question was whether “the median approaches mu” “as n approaches infinity” which isn’t necessarily the case as I provided a counter. Being within a deviation is another question (the topic of the original post)
@skolvikings@TWKulm@libradunn@Acyn Trump was not indicted for challenging the election in courts. He was indicted for every scheme that came afterward. That implicitly means you and trump were arguing exactly that
@JoyfulWarrior91@TheOmniLiberal A brief recap:
- You misunderstand basic legal concept of solicitation (I corrected you)
- You misunderstand the basic legal concept of conspiracy (I corrected you)
- You misunderstand what trump did (I corrected you)
And now its time to pivot to “everythings a coup!”
@JoyfulWarrior91@TheOmniLiberal And also this is only ONE of many steps he took in furtherance. He successfully got several people to sign false statements attesting to them being state appointed electors also in furtherance of this same crime. So not only are you wrong here, youre wrong there too!
@JoyfulWarrior91@TheOmniLiberal Be told “this is illegal” at which point he goes IDGAF, steal it or ill go to someone else who will. Solicitation is furtherance of conspiracy
@JoyfulWarrior91@TheOmniLiberal The statement was knowingly false. Even if you believe he may have thought so the first time after the letter linked by Destiny above explaining that he wouldnt sign it because its false, he threatens him to do it anyways or he’ll fire him. So in this analogy he would need to
@JoyfulWarrior91@TheOmniLiberal The furtherance was ASKING him to sign it. He did SOLICITATION in furtherance of the larger crime of defrauding the government, just like planning to rob a bank then asking someone to go buy you a gun would be conspiracy to rob a bank. It doesnt matter if they actually do it
@JoyfulWarrior91@TheOmniLiberal The statement he wanted them to sign was that the DOJ had found evidence. This was knowingly false. He has repeatedly tried to CONVINCE them that there was fraud but they repeatedly told him they found nothing. Ergo, a statement that the DOJ found fraud was false
@JoyfulWarrior91@TheOmniLiberal Oh god. You… actually can’t read. It says an act “IN FURTHERANCE of the crime” not you have to successfully commit the crime. Trump tried to solicit his DOJ into signing a false statement. Thats him taking a step toward completing the crime
@JoyfulWarrior91@TheOmniLiberal DOJ into signing a letter which was false in furtherance of that crime. Planning and furtherance. Youd know this if you read the indictment.
@JoyfulWarrior91@TheOmniLiberal Wrong again. As shown in tbe screenshot, all you have to do for conspiracy is 1) Plan a crime and 2) Take an action toward it. You dont have to successfully complete the crime. Trump planned with his lawyers/some staffers to defraud the government and then tried to solicit his
@JoyfulWarrior91@TheOmniLiberal You have to be trolling. The screenshots youre reading from in the other reply literally tell you that the person you ask to commit the crime DOESNT HAVE TO DO THE CRIME
@JoyfulWarrior91@TheOmniLiberal “Solicitation does NOT REQUIRE THAT THE SOLICITED PARTY ACTUALLY TAKE ANY ACTION TO COMMIT THE CRIME”. Willfully misreading the paragraph doesn’t mean the rest of us will too
