@CoachBjerke@Clayton_Murph As for athletes being variable regardless of location. That is 1000% true, but that's what coaches are for. To solve the puzzle of getting X athlete to compete at their full potential.
@Clayton_Murph Is it perfect... no, but the conversion must exist for altitude athletes to be given a chance at qualifying but also should be taken with a grain of salt because, as you said, there are many factors.
@Clayton_Murph Also, a difference would be found in your speed based vs. strength based milers. Your milers coming up from the 800m, the conversion would underestimate their performance. However, someone who is a strong 5000m runner it would likely overestimate.
