Wind gusts of 35-45 mph (low end Tropical Storm force) are possible, mainly in showers. 1-3 inches of rain is expected with locally heavier amounts possible. There is a low risk for a tornado and a moderate risk of rip currents at all beaches today.

The National Hurricane Center has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for Edisto Beach northward to the South Santee River. Tropical Depression #4 (which may be named Tropical Storm "Danny" prior to landfall), is expected to make landfall in our area late this afternoon or evening.

There will be a COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Green Pond Fire Station (503 Fire Station Road, Green Pond, SC 29446) on June 5, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM. There is no pre-registration required, and the vaccine will be given on a first come first served basis.
