Cattle ranching is such a traditional industry and often a generational affair. I wonder if many others will follow in his footsteps on the path to sustainability in the coming years #BCSTT
In the mountain west of the Colorado wilderness, Duke Phillips III is reinventing cattle ranching – sustainably. The FT’s resident cowboy, and US financial editor, reports… https://t.co/6N001pWpEY
I think “mandatory” tips are a somewhat outdated concept and won’t make in a increasingly digitized and automated world. They’re inefficient and unreliable/inconsistent. #BCSTT
Hear me out. If you list your work for a certain price why are you expecting a tip. You should have your work set at a price where you profit and don’t need to rely on tips. Most barbers/stylist create their own prices
@JordanLawhon1 I think coding can definitely be learned just as well outside of a typical education platform, with a little bit of additional effort. However, there would need to be some sort of reputable test to test you coding skills that employers recognize universally #BCSTT
@NicPM2001 Definitely agree. The amount of people who have made the switch to electric or hybrid in the past 5 years is incredible and the technology is only improving to make these products more affordable and efficient #BCSTT
@madeleineh612 ... especially if you’re talking about a move to somewhere so different than NYC like Texas. Attending work remotely locations would probably play a large part #BCSTT
The article says that Goldman also has their eye on Austin. I hope they move forward with a move from NYC which could trigger a national spread of the financial industry. Would be good for these new cities and could decrease problematic concentration in large cities #BCSTT#KC
@madeleineh612 I would be surprised if we saw anything within 5 years but I’m hopeful for the future. The article highlights “lifestyle” as a reason for a move to Florida (presumably a better lifestyle for employees with the weather and beaches? I’m not sure). You raise a good point... #BCSTT
This company wants to cut back on lost time and resources in the trucking industry, maximizing efficiency in what they see as a currently inefficient sector. I like the idea and I think it’s something to keep an eye on #BCSTT
@nickkish15 I’m still liking the strength, in the near future, of SpaceX’s lead as the only private company to send a human into space. Although, 50 years from now I’d bet it’ll be a company that hasn’t even been founded yet at the top of the nascent industry. #BCSTT#M
Just saw an ad on TV about a delivery company called Shipt, which is owned by Target. It seems like it has been around for a few years now, but I wonder why I haven't heard of them. Have any of you used it? How does it compare to Instacart and Postmates? #BCSTT#G
Tesla still seems to have an edge in the fierce autonomous vehicle market. I wonder if this will change in the next 10 years or if they’ll be able to maintain the lead as the market moves from “driver assistance “ to truly autonomous #BCSTT
Bizay aims to be the Amazon for the SMB market. They have no inventory, products, or machines but have the software to connect SMB’s with manufacturers who produce high quality, customizable products for low price #BCSTT
Wow... the pandemic has pushed consumer spending online to an unprecedented level. UPS workers say this has never happened during a previous holiday season. It will be interesting to see what this means for the future of brick and mortar retail #BCSTT https://t.co/NIAgZvoddb
Voi shows the power and importance of a controlled expansion versus rapid expansion and they seem to be reaping the benefits. It will be interesting to see how they fair upon further expansion and if they will be able to learn from Bird and Lime’s mistakes in America #BCSTT
Privacy is a huge concern when it comes to AI and the general public. It seems like there are no right answers especially when it comes to facial recognition AI. I think government action and clarification is the only clear path for addressing this issue #BCSTT
I’ve seen more and more about meat production like this. I know it has a long way to go but if the price becomes reasonable, I would give it a try. Would you guys? #BCSTT#M
@RyanBern3 What an interesting implication of online school that I never thought of before. I wonder how this tendency compares to the difference between boys and girls in tradition school #BCSTT
