HS Athlete of the Week (5/12): Jack Wallace ('25)
The MBA senior and Furman signee continued what has been an outstanding spring for him already with a record-setting run at the Region Championship meet. Wallace broke his own school-best time in the mile (1600m) with a 4:06.19, also winning the 3200m and 800m races.
Wallace holds five school records and has been a key part of the success of the track team - which has won its last three major meets (Region Championship, City Championship, Doug Hall Relays). Next week in Murfreesboro (May 21), Wallace will aim to take home a trio of state titles individually while the Big Red hope to hoist a team trophy as well!
