#SpiderManBrandNewDay is, without a doubt, the greatest Spider-Man movie ever made. Yes, I said it.

Tom Holland has firmly cemented himself as the definitive Peter Parker/Spider-Man. This is the hero we’ve been waiting to see, fully embracing both his powers and the responsibility that comes with being everyone’s favorite friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

Even with supporting characters like the other films, this feels more like Peter’s story. It’s his movie from start to finish.

The action is spectacular, and the web-swinging is the best it’s ever been, with sequences inspired by past Spider-Man films and, especially, the video games. The cinematography and camera work are absolutely breathtaking.

Marvel should give Destin Daniel Cretton the freedom to make any Spider-Man film he wants. He and Tom Holland have crafted a movie that perfectly captures the heart, spirit, and essence of Spider-Man.

Fans of Savage Hulk are going to be especially happy, and the scenes between Jon Bernthal and Tom Holland are among the film’s very best. They deliver huge laughs while also providing some genuinely heartfelt moments that elevate the story.

Zendaya and Jacob will always be an essential piece of the story and I really cannot wait to see how they fit into the next film. MJ has quite a bit of screen time with Peter but damn some of those moments really tug at your heartstrings.

My flabber has been ghasted. I loved #SpiderManBrandNewDay! Destin Daniel Cretton and Tom Holland put their hearts and souls into this thing, and it pays off HUGE! This movie is going to be massive and we’re going to be talking about it for a while. I was floored by how well everything is balanced - emotion, humor, action, practical vs visual effects, score, and the cinematography. This felt so handmade, even with some of the massive set pieces and is filled to the top with heart.

This was absolutely worth the wait. More soon!

My reaction to Spider-Man Brand New Day — no spoilers don’t worry!

An emotionally meaty dwelling on loneliness and suppressing what we truly are. With incredible stunts, VFX, and coloring, it’s the best looking Spider-Man film since the Raimi era. The webbing has never been stickier. The Hulk sequence was my favorite Marvel action scene in years. Sadie Sink is devastating in her role and I cant wait to see more of her in the MCU. Overall the film reflects some of my favorite Spider-Man stories in the way that Peter’s world is so crowded with familiar faces and insanity, and how his hero’s journey can be such an inspiration to others. It takes maybe a few minutes too long to get into everything. But it’s a sweet tale that will mean a lot to a lot of people. The biggest impact of this film requires plot reveals to even describe so nothing further from me for now!
