Binance has invested $100 million in Circle, buying about 1.24 million shares, while the two companies expand their USDC partnership for another five years.

Under the new arrangement, Binance will promote USDC across its global platform, with a particular focus on emerging markets. Circle will also pay Binance monthly incentives linked to qualifying USDC balances held through its wallet infrastructure.

The deal gives Binance a direct equity position in the company behind USDC while strengthening Circle's distribution through one of the world's largest crypto exchanges.

The reason I’m skeptical of some of the AI doomer narrative is that I’ve seen similar arguments during the crypto debates a few years ago.
