The domestic football season only finished yesterday - but the season review issue of Welsh Football is already in production and will be available later this week!
Games next week in West Wales Play Offs. Tuesday Pontlliw v Waunarlwydd, Thursday Glyneath v Pontlliw, then on Saturday its Waunarlwydd v Glynneath WITH printed programme. 2pm kick off
Waunarlwydd is Swansea, just about two miles or so off J47. Dead easy to get to.
@danjdavies Well done, Dan, domestic football needs a range of independent coverage and what you're doing is a valuable addition.
I'd echo your point about FAW engagement, in some respects that's gone backwards.
As for clubs, I find some are proactively supportive/helpful, but only some.
Tier 5 Play Offs for Promotion to the Macron West Wales Premier League
Pontlliw v Waunarlwydd
Glynneath v Pontlliw
Waunarlwydd v Glynneath
Dates to be confirmed
Top two placed teams will be promoted
Welsh Football magazine, May edition, now in stock at Albany Road Post Office, Cardiff.
Should be available through any independent bookshop in Wales in the coming days.
I have been asked if any club has previously achieved 5 successive promotions through the Welsh pyramid system (@PentyrchS have now done this through Cardiff & District and @SWPLInfo).
Any ideas @NWSportDave@marcwebber ?
@cazbernie@AllWalesSport@PentyrchS@SWPLInfo@NWSportDave@marcwebber Swansea Uni (Team Swansea) achieved promotion through 5 tiers but according to my records took 6 seasons 2013 to 2018-19. Sequence broken only in 2015-16. They then won Welsh League 1 in 7th season (2019-20) but couldn't be promoted.
The May edition of Welsh Football magazine (#269) will be published tomorrow and sent to all subscribers.
Extensive coverage of football at all levels, including centre spread on @FAWales cup final.
