JM Kariuki was the first MP to take on Jomo Kenyatta over land grabbing, corruption and inequality.
Many people have heard the famous line “Kenya has become a nation of 10 millionaires and 10 million beggars.”
JM Kariuki is the one who coined that phrase after Kenyatta went on a rampage looting everything that smelled of land and money.
He openly challenged the Kikuyu Mafia around Kenyatta. He became Jomo Kenyatta’s threat because he could mobilize the Kikuyu poor and landless.
On March 2, 1975, he disappeared after leaving Hilton Hotel with senior police officers. His mutilated body was found days later in Ngong forest.
When inquiry report was tabled in Parliament, it was never debated. It had implicated Mbiyu Koinange and Inspector General Bernard Hinga.
One day, Airtel decided to do an advert & they really went for the kahasho. Safaricom went to court but they failed to convince the court that the advert was intended to tarnish their brand. Unfortunately, Airtel roasted them in adverts and forgot to work on their network coverage. Ni mbaya majama. 😂😂😂
