EP 51 w/@GordonBosworth9
After spending 40 years working with elite athletes, not only has Gordon Bosworth refined his skills as a physiotherapist, but the way he does it, might be more important...

People underestimate the mental challenge on game day...
The sporting brain works in milliseconds and is sending thoughts, emotions, and feelings into our conscious awareness as we play...
Have a listen to my thoughts on game day mindset below (talking on @FCBullard) with @jimmybullard and @fennerstweets

The GPP you use in your first year of training should not resemble the GPP you use in your tenth year of training.
Over time you accumulate training volume, skills, outputs, and other abilities. Going back to do the same drawn out, general phase of training you did when you were less trained and less capable is simply a waste of time and effort.
With time, the intensity and quality of your training needs to be the priority. If you’re not training for quality, what are you trying to achieve?
Use the GPP to reestablish intensity, volume, speed, etc after a break from training. Once reestablished, it’s time to get to work on the specific qualities you need to be successful.
You only have so many sessions. Make them count!

The better you are at something, the harder you have to work to improve.
Not in the form of physical effort, but rather you need attention to detail, discipline and focus to make further progress toward your goals.
Anyone can do another rep. Not everyone can do a rep better.
