I travelled to Lebanon during Pope Leo XIV’s visit to hear from Christians living through the country’s constant struggles - war, corruption, economic crisis, and emigration. Many still believe Lebanon is a message to the world. Others fear that message is slipping away. Watch the full documentary here:
Well done to Paola, who has been recording the same reports in both English and Spanish on location for EWTN’s two biggest channels. Meanwhile, I can barely speak English.
Twenty-five years after 9/11, I met people whose lives were forever changed by that day, including a man who helped a stranger down 71 flights of stairs moments before the tower collapsed.
Coming so close to death transformed his life and his faith.
These are their stories:
This month on The 1600 Sessions, @WHhistoryPres speaks with three people who offer unique perspectives on the events of 9/11 from inside the White House and aboard Air Force One.
Former ABC News White House correspondent Ann Compton recalls flying with President George W. Bush from Florida to military bases around the country. Gary Walters, former White House Chief Usher, and Anita McBride, former Chief of Staff to First Lady Laura Bush, discuss the evacuation of the White House and the efforts to keep the seat of power operational during an unprecedented national crisis.
It was a great privilege for Paola and me to be guests of First Lady Melania Trump at the White House. A wonderful evening celebrating the work of Stewart McLaurin and the White House Historical Association.
History will soon be made when Archbishop Fulton Sheen is beatified in St. Louis, Missouri. I spoke with @RoyceHood about the final preparations on @EWTNews.
Archbishop Fulton Sheen's beatification is set for September 24 in St. Louis, where thousands of Catholics are expected to gather. Royce Hood, COO of the Catholic Diocese of Peoria, provides an update on preparations for the beatification.
What does Catholic faith look like in the Baltics today?
I travelled through Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania to meet the people keeping the faith alive after decades of persecution and profound social change.

Ambassador Collins was an exceptional representative of Ireland to the Holy See. Whenever I met her, she and her team were working tirelessly to organise events highlighting the extraordinary work of Irish religious around the world, particularly women religious. Her warmth, charm and intellect meant she was extremely well liked by her fellow ambassadors and widely admired throughout the Vatican.
We had the great pleasure of working with her on several projects, and Paola and I are deeply grateful for her friendship and for all she did to represent Ireland so well in the Eternal City.
Today, Amb. Collins concluded her 4 year term as 🇮🇪 Ambassador to 🇻🇦 . Earlier this summer, she bid farewell to @Pontifex Pope Leo XIV. She presented her credentials to Pope Francis in 2022. Thank you to everyone who supported her along the way. Go raibh mile maith agaibh !
Tonight, we begin the countdown to the beatification of Bishop Fulton J. Sheen, one of the most influential Catholic broadcasters and preachers in American history. Watch tonight’s special online for free: https://t.co/wlefFQX83F
Pope Leo XIV is in the tiny Republic of San Marino today, one of the world’s oldest republics and a country whose history is deeply rooted in the Christian faith.
During his visit, the Pope prayed before the relics of St. Marinus, the Republic’s patron and founder, and praised San Marino as an example of freedom, respect and service to the common good.
He is only the third Pope to visit the microstate. 🇻🇦🇸🇲
