In the @DailyMail this week @_BrianMahon_ stories about a Labour candidate have exposed an accelerating tendency of political parties here. They go after the journalist or outlet, rather than answer questions
Shamrock Rovers’ Roberto Lopes was recruited for Cape Verde’s squad via a LinkedIn direct message after the former head coach found out the Irish-born player's father was from there 😅

RTE's new TV series BackStory takes the children of immigrants in Ireland back to their "ancestral homelands" to connect with their roots. But if heritage is so important to identity, why are Irish people who feel as strongly about theirs called racist?

Sharing footage is divisive. Asking why it's happening is divisive. Asking what we can do to stop it is divisive.
You wouldn't want to be divisive, would you?
Does the Medical Council know how science works? While his language was unusually strident, being critical of a medicine and medical authorities is certainly not misconduct, even if he were wrong. What message does this send to other doctors who want to challenge conformity?
I am proud to announce my first bill with the ambition to make public spending fully transparent in Ireland.
Too often, taxpayers can see what is spent, but not what it was spent on. That must change.

Attacking those who are protesting is the wrong approach. Sadly, the cost of living has driven many to the edge financially. Very sad today to hear of the untimely death of writer and film-maker Manchán Magan. His work with the Irish language was both inspirational and normalising, and he can claim a great amount of credit for the resurgence in the everyday, normal use of the language. He managed to both elevate the culture and also place in the everyday, where it belongs.
