Year 6 have been learning about activism and protest in their art lessons. They have been inspired by the artist Bart Cooper to begin to create their own protest art based on the Civil Rights Movement. Great use of tone and smooth blending techniques so far!
Reception used great oracy skills in their art lesson by retelling the story ‘Superworm’. They really enjoyed painting their own super long and super strong worms using soil!
Reception have been learning about how things grow and change. They really enjoyed creating their observational drawings and paintings of daffodils in their art lesson.
Year 1 have been busy learning about primary colours and expressive mark making in art. They enjoyed exploring different marks with different tools and learnt that by layering primary colours, you can make secondary colours!
Year 3 have really developed their colour mixing skills with this art project inspired by the French artist Henri Rousseau. So many tints and shades of green! Well done Year 3!
So proud of Year 5 for the effort and enthusiasm they have shown throughout this art project inspired by the architect and illustrator Anna Gibb. Well done Year 5!
Year 3 had a busy art lesson this week creating lots of relief prints of leaves using polystyrene. Looking forward to seeing these prints added to their final piece of work!
