@R_GRAY1 I owe you a great deal for how much your 9.5M replay inspired me to work on this pattern in particular. Even though you missed it in the run, I could tell there was something there worth pursuing, and hopefully I've now made it a little easier for a few more people to try.
I'm winding down on this version of twitter but want to leave a quick update on how that went: I'm still incredibly motivated to practice, started remaking my states with tighter controls on execution and even more new strats, and found something new in st5 (I think)
BTW remade my states and it looks like if I got everything perfectly (and I didn't, I let a few things go) I'd just barely poke over 9m. Realistically this means I need to continue learning new strats, but if I were to commit to a grind right now my goal would be 8.5m.
if it's not obvious what's happening from the videos, I'm getting 8 locks on the first time through those tanks instead of the usual 7, which literally doubles the value of that chain and is worth about 25k.

I'm remaking my Rayforce practice states to see what my current potential is after adding a handful of new strats, including the death abuse in the first stage. No idea yet whether this will translate to attempts in the immediate term, but I'd like to see how close to 9m I am.
If there's any lesson to learn here, it's that I'm highly vulnerable to even the slightest peer pressure. I'm now on the other twitter with the expected handle.
I think the only reason I haven't abandoned ship here yet is uncertainty over whether I even want to migrate to a similar platform at all or whether, perhaps, news tickers for your hobbies come at too steep a price. Either way, it's been a time. Stay safe and I'm rooting for you.
related: bring back the first-person RTS. I think there was a lot of space left to explore in this subgenre, but all we really got were two and a half games in a two-year span
@TheOmnigamer my dad "acquired" this game through a workplace cd swap (as you do) and it kick-started his several years long hobby as an early online competitive gamer, which is probably what got me thinking about competing in the games I played, which is how I ended up in *this* hobby.
@Toad22484 people are still playing t3! It may be half a game but it's a pretty decent half. And TA was already kinda half of a tribes game anyway lol
There are still ways to play TA if you're really dedicated (look up community servers) but even the older games still have regular pickups
someday I'll get to play galuda on PCB with all four buttons. Today wasn't that day, but the machine was well kept otherwise and of my two credits, one cleared, so not a waste of my time by any means. Played at Capital City Classic Arcade, New Westminster
