March is a time of renewal and action—perfect for rallying support as we head toward warmer days, outdoor activities, and continued advocacy for veterans living with spinal cord injury or disease (SCI/D), including conditions like multiple sclerosis (MS) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
While national PVA Awareness Month is in April, we use March to build momentum, raise essential funds, and highlight the ongoing needs of our members in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania (Philadelphia area), and Washington, D.C.Since 1968, the Colonial Chapter has been dedicated to improving quality of life for paralyzed veterans and protecting their civil rights. We serve approximately 320 members through local programs, including adaptive sports and recreation opportunities, community events, advocacy, and direct support that complements national PVA efforts like securing billions in earned benefits, advancing SCI/D research, providing career training, and ensuring access to quality VA health care.
Your donation this March will help fund:
Local adaptive sports and recreational programs that rebuild confidence, foster community, and promote active, independent living.
Chapter events and outreach to connect veterans, families, and caregivers.
Advocacy efforts to protect benefits, accessibility, and civil rights in our region.
Essential resources and support for members facing daily challenges from paralysis.
Every contribution—big or small—makes a direct impact, with zero platform fees on Zeffy, so 100% of your donation goes straight to our mission. Why give in March?
Spring represents hope and progress—the same spirit our veterans show every day as they adapt, overcome, and thrive.
