@Tiarnan_Tweets@JeremyBrookman2 Why wouldn’t they attack Ireland? Neutrality doesn’t protect us. NATO effectively does, due to our lucky geographical position on the western edge of Europe
Andy Burnham is right, a united Ireland is NOT on the table right now. You would need a significant nationalist majority to implement it. Let’s save the debate for another day. It’s too divisive at the moment.
This is ridiculous and embarrassing!
The UK isn’t even in the EU. We should defending our own airspace. Govt give the Irish Defence Forces the proper resources for gods sake. We need an air force now!! One squadron would be enough. #Ireland#defence
Next week, at Ireland's request, a Royal Navy warship will provide air defence during a meeting of EU ministers in Wicklow. But, to comply with the Irish Constitution, the ship must remain outside Irish territorial waters

@KerryBurgess Two million? That’s bigger than the population of NI. That must put a huge strain on hotels and accommodation. All the same I’d love to go next year.
@FightHypocrisy1 I did read the post and I don’t care. To me it’s not about about shouting sectarian abuse, it’s about the old IRA taking on those Black and Tan scumbags be it in Killeshandra or west Cork or Galway or elsewhere. I am following the lyrics literally.
@FightHypocrisy1 Whatever, if you want to keep playing the victim, something you constantly seem to accusing nationalists of then go right ahead. I can’t stop you. To me, it’s still my favourite rebel song because as far as I’m concerned it’s about fighting back against a bunch of British thugs
@FightHypocrisy1 Jackeens was the term used to describe people perceived as pro British in Dublin. The actual Black and Tans didn’t even operate in Dublin. It was the auxiliaries who were here in the city. The lovely lanes of Killeshandra are in co Cavan anyway so
@Pineal_Optics@punt_rd You went all the way to Slane to walk out after 3 or 4 songs? If you don’t like U2 why the hell did you go to the concert in the first place, even with a free ticket? Maybe you should have given your ticket to a real fan?

@callumgrayni@PhilKimby@FightHypocrisy1 Our Gardai can’t deal with the bigger drugs gangs in Dublin? Have you heard of any gangland murders here recently? And no it’s not because they are all dead.
