If someone drains you, leave. If you have to edit your thoughts around someone. You filter your words. Hide your success. Swallow your anger. Avoid certain topics. Speak carefully. It means you do not feel psychologically safe around them. Leave. If someone consistently makes you feel smaller, tighter, more careful, more confused, or more exhausted, they don't belong in your life. Leave.
DO NOT POST IN REAL TIME
- Tag the restaurant when you leave.
Not while you're eating.
- The photo goes up after the flight.
Not from the seat.
- Show the hotel once you've already left. Not while you're sleeping there.
- Not everything has to be live.
Not everything needs an audience.
- The internet doesn't need to know where you are, who you're with, or what you're doing in real time.
- Protect your energy and what's still taking shape.
- Live first, post later. The moment is yours, only
I think we were meant to live a slow life. Not be constantly stimulated. Taking walks at 2.34 pm in the afternoon. Watching the rain with a cup of warm tea. Fall asleep reading. To suck at at things and still do them. We weren't designed for this constant hustle. We were meant for the ordinary. The little things that make us genuinely happy.
