I don't think "children or pedophiles" is the right approach to "picking a side."

That doesn't address the issue at hand. It only causes confusion for people who don't know about the situation and what the initial message was behind the initial video.

@velvaetalt And that's exactly why I feel it's important to discuss the issue more in depth, and imply a # that doesn't misconstrue or distort the point of the #. If the site is (inadvertantly) protecting people of the likes and the cause is inequality on the platform, then it should be (1)

@velvaetalt Both points are very fair points to make! Although I feel it's not just about the money, seeing as all of those types of contents are non monetizable and aren't advertiser-friendly.. and it's important to note that YouTube makes money from advertiser friendly content (1)

@velvaetalt But it does have to do with free speech. Think about it. Talking about dark subjects like this IS a free speech practice, and informing the public of these situations IS the right to media. YouTube policies shows that they advocate for exercising those rights.
