Welcome to the Rocket Lab team, Mynaric!
Today we officially acquired Mynaric, adding laser optical communications to our growing space systems portfolio. A big moment for our teams and for the space industry as we make leading satellite laser communication technology available at the volume and speed demanded by commercial and government satellite customers across Europe, the U.S., and rest of world.
Rocket Lab has received regulatory approval to acquire Mynaric โ
The transaction has been approved by Germanyโs Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. As a result we expect the transaction to close in April.

Pointy end up โฌ๏ธ Testing is underway and close to completing qualification.
This Neutron assembly represents the top of Stage 1 and includes the hungry hippo reusable fairing, canards, and the extended interstage with some of the most complex mechanical systems that exist on the vehicle.
Next stop: the U.S. East Coast for integration with the rest of the rocket.
$RKLB I think @trypto_tran just cracked the use case of one of Rocket Labโs big space applications, which basically will be 5G NTN or direct to device, probably in combination with a legacy satellite companyโs spectrum. My strong suspicion is this will focus on the government/enterprise IOT angle, since that is where the advantage lies if the manage to secure MSS spectrum with global allocation. Something to definitely keep monitoring! Thatโs probably also what Flatellite could be capable off doing in a low cost effective manner.
Weโve got a need for hypersonic speed and weโre ready to serve ๐Our HASTE hypersonic flight test rocket has been onramped to two multi-year government development programs for the United States and the United Kingdom โ the first time HASTE has been made eligible to support the UKโs hypersonic technology development.
