A fantastic Billy Zane (Titanic) stars in this thrill-a-minute actioner based on one of the most successful comic series of all time! The story begins as an expedition lands on the island of Bengalla, seeking the legendary skulls of Touganda. Believed to harness an energy force of incalculable power, the skulls could spell disaster for mankind. And thatโs exactly what ruthless tycoon Xander Drax (Treat Williams, Deep Rising) has in mindโฆunless one man can save it. Now evil has met its match and great movie adventure has a new nameโThe Phantom! Rousingly directed by Simon Wincer (Lonesome Dove, Quigley Down Under) and also starring Kristy Swanson (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Catherine Zeta-Jones (The Mask of Zorro), James Remar (48 Hrs.), Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (Mortal Kombat) and Patrick McGoohan (Escape from Alcatraz).

@TheDailyThenker@CultureCrave@Variety Isn't that what the theatrical releases are these days? Just non stop sequels and reboots, reimaginings, 2d to live action?
All studios playing it too safe, lucky we had some breakouts in original content like Backrooms and Obsession this year.
@mparklax@DeathMonkeyXL C'mon man, terrible is abit exaggerated. You rather that crappy film Canon pumped out in the 80s which barely resembles the original IP?
@EastVanJustin@ThomasDrance@AndyCole1984@GregBalloch Great stuff man. It's been a good feeling still seeing us talk about the show these last 2 weeks. I swear I got PTSD now when I hop in the car at 8am and it's fuzz @ 650am.
@BCLionsDen@BCLions@CityofVancouver@bcplace Can't go tmrw, but definitely going to a game before the summer's over when they have to close up the roof. (Rolling the dice Rourke is back by then!?)
@EternalDragonX2@DustBunnyDX2@dcrediah Just gotta support the theatres in general or we're all just going to be sitting in a living room watching movies.
Be daring, take a gamble on a movie you're interested in, many times I've won that gamble and was entertained! Saw MOTU 2x.
@HarleyQuinn720 "How?" Because there's too many theatre-goers out there who listened to a bunch of online comments from idiots who haven't even SEEN THE FILM. That kind of negative press is hard to defeat. I saw MOTU 2x. Thankfully Nolan is smashing that wall down with a Trojan sledgehammer!!!
@ntshepard@AndyCole1984 Agreed, while I am going to check it out eventually, I'm easily choosing Dune 3 over this on "DunesDay!" Lol. Marvel continuity is becoming a chore...
@robinsonishyde@CinemaTweets1 I have a lil respect for the ones that realize they were wrong about a film. But the ones who spout the same msg and take it to their grave without watching said film, are missing out on epic entertainment. Hence the real loser in all this, lol
@robinsonishyde@CinemaTweets1 They need to hold on to their dream of Odyssey flopping. Par for the course for people who made up their minds on a film they haven't even seen. Mere semantics about the theatres' cut $, this film is a MASSIVE hit for Nolan & Universal ๐๐ฟ
