Here is WHY many professing Christians will take the mark and find themselves in hell.
The plain words of Rev 14 teaches that anyone who takes the mark will go to hell.
YET, what is the typical response I get from professing Christians when I bring this up?
Giving me every conceivable excuse why they will still be able to take the mark—and not go to hell.
You want to play games with God? Then you will find yourself in hell.
1 Enoch does NOT contain ANY “secret knowledge”
It’s public Second Temple Jewish literature
It’s a key window into what many Ancient Israelites between 500 BC and AD 70 believed, especially about Genesis 6:1–4 (“sons of God”), and the Watchers
It definitely influenced and shaped the New Testament
So the real payoff isn’t secret knowledge, but context for the New Testament!
There! I saved you a couple hours of a podcast episode hosted by a former CIA contractor 🤷🏻
I dug up an email exchange I had with the late Dr. Michael Heiser (@DRMSHPhD) from back in 2015 on the topic of Israel, Dispensationalism vs Replacement Theology, Biblical eschatology, political Zionism, and his political atheism.
Mike was always kind enough to provide long thoughtful responses to questions I had pertaining to the Bible. I appreciated it very much.
I often resonated with his approach to topics that are traditionally very divisive within the church. There's something relatable in analyzing the Word of God in ways that upsets every apple cart...not just one 😎
That being said, I'm not sharing this because you should agree with Mike, although I think he makes some powerful points about the topics. I merely hope it is edifying and inspires deeper study and conversation about the Bible and eschatology.
Miss ya Mike!
