Vancouver Canucks offseason plan:
• promote former Canuck Ryan Johnson to GM
• promote former Canucks Daniel & Henrik Sedin to Co-Presidents
• promote former Canuck Manny Malhotra to Head Coach
Next on the docket:
• draft the coaches son at 3rd overall
• hire Alex Edler
@coreypronman@TheAthleticNHL As a Canucks fan, I don’t think passing on Stenberg, if he’s available, would be a good move. Also odd dynamic should they pick Malhotra with his dad likely being head coach
@DonnieandDhali@DhaliwalSports Best prospect is their fist round pick. Practically guaranteed top 3 at this point and McKenna, Stenberg and Verhoeff are multiple tiers above any current prospect
@sekeresandprice@justBlakePrice@YellowDogBeer One could argue that they “have”, at worst, a top 3 pick in this upcoming draft. McKenna, Stenberg and Verhoeff would all clear upside of Buium, Willander, Lekkerimäki, etc
@spittinchiclets Hughes is arguably the best defenseman in the league, Cale Makar included. Minny is going to love him. Sad day for Canucks fans, but that’s a monster return
@garymasonglobe Demko for RNH makes too much sense for both sides. Demkos contract is similar term to McDavid, gives them a bonafide number 1 with risk of injuries. Vancouver gets their number 2 C and local kid on great contract
