The meeting follows an outside audit that found approximately $16.7 million in funds may never be recovered.

I don’t know what the specific government case against Ilhan Omar involves. We will have to wait to see if charges are brought and what they entail.

I do know (because I looked into it years ago) that the evidence that her previous “marriage” was likely part of a fraudulent immigration scheme was substantial. The press showed little interest in digging into the truth at the time because Omar and her allies successfully painted legitimate questions about possible illegal behavior as motivated by bigotry.

That happened to be the same playbook used by the main actors behind the massive Feeding Our Future fraud scheme that many people associated with Omar were also tied to. It allowed them to delay investigations for years and even enlist the help of Minnesota AG Keith Ellison to try to stall the investigation while they stole hundreds of millions.

It is also important to note for those trying to make it seem purely political that an investigation into Omar started under the Biden administration.

Someone needs to explain to the little guy and his supporters in Thurston County about the Gracchi Brothers in ancient Rome. They staged a fake assassination attempt against themselves, which they used as an excuse to raise a private army.
In WA today, the hysterical Left shrieks that "ICE will be deployed at ballot boxes to intimidate people!" (ICE says that's not true.) And the hysterical Left uses its shrieking as an excuse to...mobilize the WA National Guard. To prevent ICE from doing something it's not doing.
The same hysterical Left that recently pushed a state law through Olympia that prohibited the WA National Guard from...mobilizing.
