@PacersKev @mcuban @Pacers Depends on the high end talent at the top of the draft. In a year with legit franchise players, tank away...on a draft with no sure thing stars, it's iffy. But getting a top pick is better than staying middle of the pack (Colts the past decade)

Stetson Bennett was in his 7th year and 25 years old when he won a Championship at Georgia...why did no one say anything then? Because it was a top SEC team and not IU?

@SullyCapTrading @stoolpresidente The difference is the big name schools were already paying top players. Now that everyone can do it, I agree, the old college football world is gone. That's a great thing...because now it's a level playing field. Other schools could have gone for the same players that IU did

@Colts_Coverage Fire Ballard and his staff....hire a new GM with no ties to this regime. Let the new GM decide on the HC (Steichen or not). Let the new HC choose his own staff and scheme. GM and HC work together to get the right players. Which to keep which to move on from...the draft and FA

But my thing is, I don't like forcing a GM/HC pairing (Jim did this a few times).
I prefer to hire a GM and then let them decide either way.

@NateDunlevy I 100% agree. I've tried to explain to people that the GM should decide and not be forced to keep someone unless that's who they want!

You also let them decide if we are building with the main guys we have or if we blow it up and start over.

@Landon3MR Ballard and crew need to be gone...the new GM can decide on coaches etc. But don't force them to keep a coach (like Jim did with Ballard/Pagano)
