Dear all… Sorry for the silence. We (by which we mean @muziejus) has been in A Mood since @tweetbot got disconnected from Twitter, and it’s been hard to start making new content for this site.
We have an Instagram account (also @columbialibdata), which is more active.
Dear all… Sorry for the silence. We (by which we mean @muziejus) has been in A Mood since @tweetbot got disconnected from Twitter, and it’s been hard to start making new content for this site.
We have an Instagram account (also @columbialibdata), which is more active.
The photos, when posted to Instagram, have extensive text accompanying them, so a11y is another reason we recommend finding us on Instagram. We’ll try auto-posting here from there, but the results will be mixed.
In case you haven’t noticed, there's no stream today. In fact, @muziejus is probably taking a break until January, when we’ll be reassessing #StudioRemote. In the meantime, we invite the #CULStudio community to Butler on Friday for the end of semester party!
Join us in Lehman 215 in 90 minutes for the final #dataClub meeting of the year. @columbialib’s digital intern @rogercreel will lead us in a workshop on PyMC (by @pymc_devs)
I am pleased to be leading this @columbialib and @ColumbiaLibData Data Club meeting tomorrow. Python 🔥 Bayesian modeling 🔥 Geospatial data 🔥 Fun for the whole [computational] family!
After a few weeks of conflicts (the upcoming World Cup match doesn’t count), #StudioRemote is back this week and starts in 90 minutes. Join @columbialib librarian @muziejus as he starts building components in #EmberJS for the @omeka plugin Neatline.

Join us Thursday at 4:30pm for the final official @columbialib Data Club meeting of the semester! @rogercreel will be leading us through #PyMC (by @PyMC_Devs) to do some Bayesian modeling in Python.
TODAY, at #CULStudio, @columbialib librarian @muziejus will be showing you how to improve your home network with a #RaspberryPi. Don’t worry about bringing your own. You can borrow one of ours!

Come to @columbialib Butler 208b on Friday at 3:30 and learn with @muziejus and @madihazc to improve your home network with a @Raspberry_Pi at #CULStudio. Bring your own RPi or borrow one of ours, and we’ll show you how to block ads with @The_Pi_Hole along with other cool stuff.
After taking Election Day off, #StudioRemote is back. This week, @columbialib librarian @muziejus will begin using his #Neatline/#Omeka API hack to build an #EmberJS frontend from a Neatline/Omeka backend. Join us in 45 minutes!

Getting butterflies in my stomach about today’s @ColumbiaLibData / @columbialib Data Club meeting, in which I introduce @observablehq to a bunch of Python data friends.
I'm just a few steps ahead of the rest of the club, but really like Observable’s ergonomics.
#StudioRemote has been off for two weeks, but the #EmberJS / #Omeka project has moved along. Today, @columbialib librarian @muziejus will start incorporating Neatline into the mocked Omeka backend. Watch in four hours!

Tomorrow, @columbialib Studio returns _in person_, and @muziejus will kick things off leading a presentation on scholarly writing with Markdown, Zotero, and LaTeX. See our semester schedule below or read more about the Studio here: https://t.co/KKsMpkGgwS
