You also had:
1. Russia knocking out Spain on penalties
2. Colombia v England dramatic match
3. Cavani and Uruguay ending Ronaldo's hopes
4. Belgium's win against Brazil in the QF
5. Mexico beating holders Germany, and then Kroos scoring last minute free-kick winner against Sweden to give Germany hope only for them to shockingly lose to South Korea with two 90+ minute goals
6. Xhaka and Shaqiri two Albanians playing for Switzerland, both scoring in their tight win against Serbia
7. Argentina v Nigeria groupstage decider, with Messi scoring
8. Russia's opener against Saudi Arabia
9. Japan going through over Senegal for getting less yellow cards

And so many more... If we're talking about forgettable World Cups then that'd be 1994 or maybe 2006, definitely not 2018
