‼️Sen. John Fetterman just warned that Democrats are already planning another government shutdown!!

On Fox News this morning the Pennsylvania Democrat called the idea of a third shutdown in nine months “insane.”

He said party leaders are actively talking about shutting the government down again as midterms approach and made it clear he will refuse to go along.

“They’re talking about another SHUTDOWN now. That would put me at odds with the Democratic Party. I will never vote to shut our government down,” Fetterman said.

This is not theoretical. The country just endured a 43-day full shutdown from October to November 2025, a short one in late January, and a 76-day partial DHS shutdown that stretched from mid-February to the end of April.

Federal workers went unpaid, services were disrupted, and national security agencies operated under severe strain. Fetterman has broken with his party before on exactly these votes, including the long DHS funding fight.

Shutdowns are not strategy. They are self-inflicted damage that hits the people who keep the country running while politicians play games.

Fetterman is choosing the country over the party this time. More Democrats should do the same.
