@BDupaincheng Also people don't realize that the BIGGEST proof that the adults in Marinette's life are bad influences (or downright evil ehem Gabriel) is Marinette HERSELF making decisions that are very bad on her own which causes SOME things to be Marinette's own fault
@BUGALYSM Honestly despite everything that's going on and the lie, Marinette is probably the only one right now besides his other friendd that did not actively try to fuck up his life (ehem Felix and Natalie)
@thebugsmeow Astruc hates Chloe so much that he can't even understand that he wrote her parents (esp her mom) to be neglectful and abusive, and I say this as someone who hates Chloe 💀 Bro is selective about his own writing
@jidaisies Just because a biracial person isn't fully in touch with their roots and white passing doesn't fucking mean that they're NOT BIRACIAL ANYMORE good gods
@jidaisies ─but also not realize that their takes to cuss her take more of Adrien's pov away. Of course he considers that a particularly bad thing Gabriel dis, it's 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 a suffocating feeling and it's 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘵 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 that it's easy to categorize as a bad unlike other actions
@jidaisies ─overt enough and so clearly and obviously forceful on him that Adrien can pinpoint that yes, his father forcing him to end a relationship he 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘴 without regard for what he feels also hurts and feels suffocating? They're really just looking for reasons to cuss Marinette─
@ladynoirose Honestly that kind of setting would've been so great because it centers the Agreste family aka the root of all the events without reducing Marinette, and then they could give more Adrien povs but alas we aren't getting Adrien povs as much as we need
@ladynoirose ─twist that Gabriel was Hawk Moth way too easy to catch if we were keeping a close eye to Adrien. Again, this is me referring to earlier seasons before the plot got deeper and deeper, back during the typical cute villain of the week one.
@ladynoirose To ME, the reason it was necessary that Marinette is the protagonist BACK WHEN THE SHOW WAS STARTING IN 2015 was because no one would actually care about her beyond being a love interest if Adrien was the mc (this is specifically about season 1) and also it would make the later─
─just someone doing wrong for the sake of wrong. i think we can see the difference of someone willingly and enthusiastically and 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘺 selfishly doing wrong vs. someone willingly but not at all enthusiastically and there's both a selfish and selfess reason for doing wrong
god forbid marinette be morally gray 𝘢𝘯𝘥 still a victim of pressure and manipulation right? he may not have forced her but a dying wish from someone who offed themselves in front of you feels weird, especially with gabriel being adrien's father. it doesn't make marinette─
coming back to this cause this also is why "but but he didn't force her to do anything!!" doesn't fully work i genuinely don't get how people are not understanding that
─in the right or erase the sheer wrongness of her decision, nor absolve her of any consequence, nor does it make her less morally gray. but it 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 show the situation she's in and 𝘸𝘩𝘺 she's going down the way she is. guys s6 marinette's decision is nuanced, not─
Seriously though. She broke a lot of her values and principles Marinette will create a being she can actively control ESPECIALLY with the knowledge of how Adrien AND Kagami were controlled. She breaks principles and is morally gray but this? This is a principle she'd never break.
i know marinette goes against many of her principles in s6 but i dont think she would make a senti version of herself.. like can someone explain that theory to me
@Finncesaire Balance is a major necessity in the Miraculousverse so of course two ends of the same spectrum except one is morally gray but genuinely cares about the wellbeing of more than herself, and one is straightforwardly cruel and serves herself are meant to meet. It's just balance
@Finncesaire@anyamarii But will likely be the character that never GETS it which is insane since she has been bullied for years prior to her trauma as Ladybug. She doesn't understand therapy because she was never given that as an option growing up around a school bully.
@Finncesaire@anyamarii No deadass people saying she looked mad like obviously? People who were uneducated in therapy don't understand how it works and see it as someone ranting problems to a stranger and that's likely what she thought it was
Add the fact that in the show, Marinette ALSO needs therapy+
