This has absolutely nothing to do with pay. The unions are out of step with members in not acknowledging depth of concerns. The vague workload commitments did not provide reassurance. Principals & teachers need the SEN admin crisis tackled head on as a start.

"Féile an Phobail has long championed the Fleadh coming to Belfast and it’s fantastic news that this is now a reality.
Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann will allow us to showcase our great city to the many hundreds of thousands of visitors who will visit Belfast during the Fleadh. Irish culture, music, and language will be to the fore, here in Ireland’s second city.
Festivals like Féile an Earraigh with our Féile Trad Trail including musicians from right across Ireland, provide a spotlight for showcasing rich cultural and artistic talent and diversity here in Belfast.
We provide an important platform for local, national and international artists to showcase their talent and we look forward to supporting Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann for the biggest Irish music, arts and culture event in Ireland."

▪️In Ireland before the founding of the Orange Order, the biggest celebratory
day in the loyalist calendar was held in Dublin, it was the 4th November, King Billy’s birthday!
Dublin was the second city of empire and loyal. The present day Lord Mayor's Great Chain of Office dates from 1698. A circular gold medal with the bust of King Billy hangs from the chain.
The statue of King Billy on the other hand (erected in 1701) met a fateful end in 1929.
▪️We talk about this and more at our upcoming #1798 Walking Tours in Dublin & Belfast.

While you look down your gun....
1798 would be a pivotal year for both us and Ireland. To honour it, we are delighted to host on October 5th a fun filled day for all that promises to commemorate, educate and explore the 1798 rebellion and its experiences.
