@Ridire_Creachta and Buddha statues. I integrated these traditional elements with my own vision of a 'Space King' to achieve this final look. Honestly, I’m not even sure which culture the Custodes are based on.
@Ridire_Creachta Not exactly. While I admit there is a resemblance, Warhammer often takes inspiration from various real-world cultures to shape the identity of each faction, and that’s the same approach I followed. This design is primarily inspired by Thai royal regalia, Khon costumes,
@SERIK3001@FlashgitzAnims I chose this culture because I wanted to paint using primary colors. My previous two works were red and blue, and when I needed something that naturally represented yellow, I thought of Asian cultures from my homeland. So I used it as the main inspiration.
@SERIK3001@FlashgitzAnims While the design is fundamentally based on Thai royal regalia, Khon costumes, and Thai Buddha images, it's true that much of Southeast Asian art shares deep roots with Indian culture. So, seeing Indian influences in it is actually very accurate!

@Adventure_skaut so the first one ended up looking really different. I didn’t want to redesign him, so I just went with: “They’re out hunting for fur.”
@Adventure_skaut Honestly, I didn’t think that deeply about it. When I first drew them, I forgot the fur clothing on the first character, which made him look like a minotaur. Later I added fur outfits to the second and third designs,
@Getting_to_risk I used AI for the translation, so I’m not sure if it is accurate. To explain further, “giant” here comes from the Thai word “ยักษ์,” a race in my country’s folklore. This character was also inspired by “โขน,” my country’s masked dance performance
@amaya_dying I didn’t think too deeply about their backstory, but in this drawing, they’re searching for animal hides to make clothes or a cloak for the character on the right.〰️😅
@FalloutLink@FlashgitzAnims Actually, there wouldn’t be a problem using it. However, I created this image just for fun, so I didn’t check whether its visual identity might overlap with or resemble existing copyrighted designs. If someone wants to use it, they should be aware of this and proceed with caution.
