1. Hearing is the last sense to go. Many patients can hear everything being said in the room long after they appear unconscious. Nurses know this. Most families do not act like it.

2. The body does not shut down all at once. It withdraws blood and oxygen from the extremities first, working inward toward the heart. The cold hands and feet you notice are the body making a final decision about what to protect.

3. A sudden, unexpected improvement in energy and alertness hours before death is not a good sign. Nurses recognize it immediately. Families almost always mistake it for recovery.

4. The sound called the death rattle is not pain. It is simply the throat relaxing and losing muscle control. But no amount of medical explanation prepares a family for hearing it for the first time.

5. Most people do not die during the night. The body has a biological rhythm and many deaths occur in the early hours of morning, between 3am and 5am, when the nervous system is at its lowest.

10. Many ICU nurses privately believe that the most painful deaths are not the ones with the most physical suffering. They are the ones where the patient dies surrounded by family members who are fighting with each other.

11. The thing families almost never say, but almost always should, is simply this: it is okay to go. Those four words, spoken out loud, do something that medicine cannot explain and nurses have witnessed more times than they can count.

الدفاعات الجوية الإماراتية تعاملت حتى الآن مع 165 صاروخاًً باليستياً و2 صاروخ جوال و541 طائرة مسيرة إيرانية

أعلنت وزارة الدفاع أن القوات الجوية والدفاع الجوي لدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة تمكنت في صباح اليوم الثاني للهجوم الإيراني من تدمير 20 صاروخاً باليستياً وسقوط عدد 8 صواريخ في البحر، وتدمير عدد 2 صاروخ جوال وتدمير عدد 311 طائرة مسيّرة، في حين أصابت 21 طائرة مسيرة أهداف مدنية، مؤكدةً قدرة القوات الجوية والدفاع الجوي الإماراتية على التعامل مع مختلف التهديدات.

وأوضحت الوزارة أنه منذ بدء الهجوم الإيراني بتاريخ 2026/02/28 تم رصد 165 صاروخاً باليستياً تم إطلاقه من إيران باتجاه الدولة، حيث تم تدمير 152 صاروخاً، فيما سقط 13 منها في مياه البحر، كما تم رصد عدد 2 صاروخ جوال وتدميرهما، وتم رصد عدد 541 طائرة مسيرة إيرانية، تم اعتراض وتدمير 506 منها، فيما وقعت 35 منها داخل أراضي الدولة، وتسببت بأضرار مادية، وأسفرت عن 3 حالات وفاة من الجنسية الباكستانية والنيبالية والبنغلادشية و58 حالة إصابة بسيطة من الجنسية الإماراتية، المصرية، الاثيوبية، الفلبينية، الباكستانية، الإيرانية، الهندية، البنغلادشية، السيرلانكية، الاذربيجانية، اليمنية، الاوغندية، الارتيرية، اللبنانية والأفغانية.

وأشارت الوزارة إلى سقوط بعض الشظايا في مناطق متفرقة من الدولة نتيجة تصدى منظومات الدفاع الجوي للصواريخ البالستية والمسيرات، أدى إلى حدوث أضرار مادية بسيطة ومتوسطة في عدد من الأعيان المدنية.

وأعربت الوزارة أنها على أهبة الاستعداد والجاهزية للتعامل مع أية تهديدات، وأكدت أن سلامة المواطنين والمقيمين والزوار تمثل أولوية قصوى لا يمكن التهاون فيها.

وتهيب الوزارة بالجمهور الكريم استقاء المعلومات من المصادر الرسمية في الدولة، وتجنب تداول الشائعات أو المعلومات غير الموثوقة.

The Memo That Should Have Ended the Cold War 2.0 and Instead Helped Write the Preface to Ukraine

There are documents that don’t merely record history, they expose it. This is one of them.

June 2001. A “restricted meeting” between President George W. Bush and President Vladimir Putin. Not a podium performance, not a television soundbite, not a speech crafted for domestic applause. A private conversation, the place where empires are supposed to speak plainly, where leaders test ideas that could reroute decades.

And what does the memo show?

Putin raises the idea that Russia could eventually join NATO. He says Russia feels “left out” by NATO enlargement. He points to an older fact most Western publics were never meant to internalize: the Soviet Union applied to join NATO in 1954. He argues the reasons for rejection no longer apply. He suggests, almost clinically, that perhaps Russia could be an ally — “European and multi-ethnic,” comparable in character to the United States.

Read that again slowly.

Because the propaganda version you’ve been fed for years requires amnesia: it requires you to believe Russia woke up one morning and decided to be “a threat,” as if geopolitics is a mood swing and security architecture is irrelevant.

But here is the declassified record: Russia was probing for an exit ramp. A pathway into a shared system. A new security architecture. A post–Cold War settlement that could have turned the 1990s from a hollow victory lap into a durable peace.

And it didn’t happen.

Not because it was impossible. Not because Russia “never wanted it.” Not because “the West tried everything.”

It didn’t happen because NATO, as an institution, does not know how to live without a frontier. It does not know how to justify itself without an adversary. It does not know how to maintain internal cohesion without a map that points east and says: there.

The 1954 Ghost: the offer the West never wanted to remember

The most important part of this memo is not the 2001 line, but the 1954 reference.

Because it collapses the morality play.

If the Soviet Union, a state the West defined as the existential enemy, floated the notion of joining NATO in 1954, that means something profound: the idea of Russia being inside the European security architecture is not a “Putin-era trick.” It is a recurring historical proposal, returning whenever Moscow believes there may be a rational way to avoid permanent confrontation.

And what happened then? It was refused.

Which is exactly the point: NATO was never simply a “defensive alliance.” Even in 1954, It was a structure. A protection racket. A way to organize Europe under an American strategic roof and to keep it there. If Russia enters that roof as an equal, the architecture changes. Budgets decrease, with less money for the MIC. Threat perceptions change. The entire postwar hierarchy changes.

So the West did what empires do when presented with a peace that would reduce their leverage:

It smiled, took notes, and kept moving.

“Join NATO” was never a plea, it was a test.

Some people still misunderstand the early Putin posture. They interpret it as naivete, or worse, submission.

Wrong.

This was not Russia begging to be absorbed. The consistent theme in contemporaneous accounts is conditionality, that Russia could consider joining if treated as an equal partner, but not as a defeated province invited into the emperor’s club after proving it can submit.

That distinction matters.

Because it reveals the real incompatibility:
•Russia wanted a security system where it is a partner of European security, not an object to be managed.
•The Atlantic system wanted Russia as a managed periphery, permanently “integrating,” permanently reforming, permanently conceding, never truly sovereign in security decisions.

You can’t fuse those visions. One side must yield.

So the Atlantic system chose the only thing it has ever really chosen, expansion.

Et pour une fois, il a raison sur un point : c’est un tournant historique.
On n’est plus dans une guerre commerciale, on est dans une guerre de matière

je pense que beaucoup n’ont pas encore réalisé que cette décision change tout puisque la Chine vient de mettre la main sur le plancher du monde : l’accès même aux éléments qui rendent la technologie possible.

En clair, chaque puce, chaque moteur, chaque laser, chaque batterie …dépend d’eux.

quand la Chine décide que tout produit contenant plus de 0,1 % de matériaux d’origine chinoise devra obtenir son autorisation avant export elle verrouille absolument tout en construisant une dépendance destructrice pour les autres économies.

Sachez que ces matériaux (néodyme, gallium, dysprosium, graphite, germanium et j’en passe…) sont les briques fondamentales et sans eux rien ne tourne, ABSOLUMENT RIEN.

Par exemple et pour vous expliquer ça de manière très concrète :

le dysprosium utilisé pour stabiliser les aimants dans les moteurs à haut rendement, sans lui il est impossible de fabriquer des véhicules électriques performants, des servomoteurs de robots précis ou même des actionneurs d’avions de chasse résistants à la chaleur.

et mettez vous en tête que le jour où l’approvisionnement ralentit, ce n’est pas juste une usine qui s’arrête mais c’est toute la chaîne de la mobilité, de la défense et de la robotique qui s’enraye avec des conséquences dramatiques pour l’économie d’un pays même d’un continent et les emplois de milliards de gens à travers le monde

c’est ça la vraie portée de cette décision et ce n’est pas le énième plouc qui sera nommé au poste de Premier Ministre qui changera quelque chose à ça car non seulement la quasi totalité des politiques français et de leurs conseillers bidons sortis de SciencesPipo ne comprennent absolument rien à ces enjeux géostratégiques fondamentaux et il faut le noter leur étroitesse d’esprit générale ne va pas plus loin que leur prochain mandat, soit 5 ans au maximum alors que les décideurs chinois pensent en décennies et même en siècles !!!!

Vous assistez ici à une reconfiguration du système industriel mondial et chaque domaine hardware de l’IA embarquée à l’énergie en passant par le quantique, le spatial repose justement sur des couches de matériaux que la Chine contrôle déjà à chaque étape : extraction, raffinage, transformation, intégration…

d’ailleurs j’ai vu ce modèle de près à Shenzhen, quand tu travailles là-bas sur du hardware, tu comprends très vite la différence, déjà tout est fluide, interconnecté, presque même organique

tu peux passer d’une idée à un prototype en 24 heures, trouver un capteur, une puce de puissance SiC, une mémoire non volatile, à n’importe quelle heure de la journée et de LA NUIT ( j’ai souvent parlé de mon expérience ne Chine que vous pouvez retrouver facilement dans mes tweets précédents)

En gros les chinois disposent d’une infrastructure industrielle pensée comme un réseau vivant!

Et cette logique se retrouve partout comme dans la microélectronique, la photonique, la robotique, l’énergie et la Chine avance en construisant des ponts entre ces disciplines en reliant la physique, la chimie, l’ingénierie, l’énergie et la data alors que les occidentaux ont complètement compartimenté tout ça à l’image d’un système éducatif complètement désastreux et qui limite toute approche holistique du monde

Très honnêtement je pense qu’il faut déjà arrêter de voir cette histoire comme un simple rapport de force mais davantage comme la confirmation d’une mise en application de pensée systémique de la Chine qui applique une vision intégrée où chaque innovation alimente la suivante : les matériaux nourrissent les fabs, les fabs nourrissent l’IA, l’IA optimise la production, et tout s’auto renforce et c’est FORT, très FORT.
