Judge Farmer tells AG John Fowler that he does not believe that the Attorney Generals office has jurisdiction over RICO or Arson in #CopCityRICO case. This is likely to be appealed by state, but could destroy the prosecution.
Yesterday, a Trump-appointed federal judge upheld the S.C. ban on teaching truthfully about U.S. history. So let’s talk about the Stono Rebellion, when nearly 100 enslaved African and African-American men & women made a bid for freedom on September 9, 1739. (1/9)

"This is a modern day Mein Kampf,” Mayor Adams told a small group of supporters at Brooklyn's Rehoboth Cathedral today, referring to calls for his resignation.

This is such a horrendous argument. If an attempted genocide happened in my hometown right now, where there are records of my family there going back to at least the mid 1800s, I would definitely lose more than 70 family members all at once.

Not only is Fremont CA voting on an ordinace that makes it illegal to be homeless, the proposed law also targets volunteers with misdemeanors + jail time if they "aid and abet" anyone who is homeless.
They're literally trying to jail anyone who helps those with no place to live.

Marcellus Williams, a Black man, was executed on September 24, despite credible evidence that called his conviction into question and widespread support for clemency. Governor Mike Parson refused to grant it.
Today, Parson commuted the sentence of Eric DeValkenaere, a white Kansas City police officer convicted of murdering Cameron Lamb, a Black man, after unlawfully entering his property without a warrant. DeValkenaere walked free.
A Black man with overwhelming evidence of innocence: Executed.
A white officer guilty of killing a Black man: Released.
This is more than a miscarriage of justice—this is systemic racism in action.
