🚨🎙️ MICAH RICHARDS ON TONIGHT REFREE DECISIONS:
"Big man, listen to me! We have to be real about this. Let’s be honest: every single big call went against Barça in both legs. Every. Single. One. The referee has to do better there, he really does! You can’t be making game-changing decisions like that at this level and getting them wrong.
I’m looking at the handball in the first leg, I’m looking at the penalty tonight... it’s unbelievable! At what point is it not a coincidence anymore? I’m not one for conspiracies, but when it’s the same story every time the whistle blows, you start wondering what’s actually going on. It’s tough, man. It’s really tough for them!"
🚨Reporter: Did you hear the chant “Whoever doesn’t jump is a Muslim”? What do you think about it?
Pedri: “We were shocked, and it’s clear that we don’t agree with any racist chant, we don’t like it, and we don’t support it at all. We all need to work together to help eliminate this from football.” ❤️🩹
I don’t agree with the idea that Bernal should keep starting even when Frenkie comes back.
Yes, Bernal has been very good and he definitely deserves more minutes than he usually gets when Frenkie is available. His development and performances justify a bigger role in the rotation.
But at the same time, Frenkie is still the better and more experienced option. He brings a level of control, consistency, and understanding of the game that you can’t just overlook. We've seen how much we missed him when the pressure got high in that Newcastle away game.
Bernal’s time will come, and honestly, it feels inevitable that he’ll become the first choice at some point. But right now, the balance should be clear: Bernal as a strong rotational option, Frenkie as the starter.
Yesterday Fermin struggled because he was being bullied.
Bernal barely showed for the ball.
Lewandowski rarely dropped to help build up.
Raphinha had a poor game but somehow escaped criticism because of “passion”.
Pedri was left alone trying to make things happen.
What we missed was a midfielder who drops deep, takes the ball from Garcia, carries it forward with body feints, and creates space for Pedri to operate.
That piece has a name: Frenkie de Jong.
Respect him or not — if he leaves today he’s already admired by coaches and top clubs across Europe.
If you don’t value him, the world will. 🔵🔴
Despite all the chaos we saw tonight, the only player who was fully focused from start to finish and never slowed down, no matter the rhythm, was Frenkie De Jong. He carried our midfield on his own.
I love Pedri, but even before his injury, he didn’t have a great game tonight. Frenkie was the one controlling our tempo, driving the ball forward either through smart, progressive passes from deep or by dribbling the ball himself. He also added creativity in attack, highlighted by that beautiful assist, he was just everywhere.
Even defensively, he was just as impressive, covering a huge amount of ground, showing aggressiveness and recovering the ball many times. In short, it was a brilliant all-around performance. His form since returning to the starting XI has been phenomenal.
He was relentless. The responsibility he takes to always receive the ball. Never takes the safe option that would put his team under pressure. Covers so much ground. Those who want to hate will always find a way.
🌟| Always doubted, but never praised when he produces a masteclass!

No player deserved the 2025 Ballon d'Or more than Raphinha. 🇧🇷😞
@davestowe_ This was him the last match he played for us, and for note without a G/A contribution, If pedri gets hailed for those performances without G/A, so should he, double standards ffs
