@NickGriffinBTP@nativistconcern Nick, we met once, nice guy.
In hindsight would it have been a win to let Trevor Phillips join the BNP, when he took test case? Although he didnt genuinely want to join, there are increasing number of mixed ethnicity Brits who align with aim of reducing further immigration?
@CsTominaga@81TC0IN I would prefer project design than coding, which is fiddly. In late 80s I typed in few BASIC programs on my brother's Speccy.
@CsTominaga did you ever have a ZX-Spectrum, or what was your first computer?
@bsvsimp I dont knock anyone for trying, but project along lines of "non-copyable digital" is over ambitious.
I spent 2 hours thinking about it - no way. ChatGPT gives proof if digital data can be "consumed", it can be duplicated.
More unsolvable than Byzantines problem!
@CsTominaga !! I await the reveal :) When might that be?
Even as a layperson, I'm sure that, if something digital can be viewed / listened to / read ... Then it can be (at least oneof), copied, screenshot, recorded.
@CsTominaga Fun fact re "data". Less than 20% people regularly use double "quotes" to add "emphasis".
I do, so does Craig ( for at least 20 years). And "Vistomail Satoshi", did.
Great minds think alike :)
@vector2alpha@_Phil_Wilson_ I managed to get copy of early first draft of whitepaper, Vistomail was under title. Phil said Craig changed that subsequently to Phils gmx email, so any technical questions would go to him direct.
That difference was there between draft and release.
@vector2alpha@_Phil_Wilson_ Although they tried to normalise how both accounts wrote, Vistomail has Craig 'proper' English, and Phil writes in different style. E.g. 'Broadcasted' which Phil put in draft whitepaper (and in v0 Bitcoin code comment)
Craig changed to Broadcast when he polished whitepaper
@vector2alpha@_Phil_Wilson_ I dug through enough pre 2008 writing and code to conclude Phil was gmx and Craig on Vistomail
MrVector, dont copy in so many on our convo please !
@vector2alpha@_Phil_Wilson_@Arthur_van_Pelt It seems the main objection to possibly believing Phil is that it would credit Craig as the co-founder.
This is un-palatable to some. because Craig didn't always do himself a lot of favours on the PR front !
@vector2alpha@_Phil_Wilson_@Arthur_van_Pelt To this point, I asked Phil who sent first transaction, and he said not him.
That matched my observation that released emails referring to the send came from the Vistomail account!
Whether you want to belive its P & C or not, Vistomail person (not gmx) did first send
@vector2alpha@_Phil_Wilson_@Arthur_van_Pelt Those investigations failed because the evidence doesn't suit the media's narrative. Its not perfectly hidden, clues are ignored.
The gmx and vistomail accounts were used by two different people. Definitely more than one 'Satoshi'
@vector2alpha@_Phil_Wilson_@Arthur_van_Pelt Nobody targetted me, I was curious and asked!
But I accept you may have looked into this more than me, so Im listening to your opinion and will factor it :)
@vector2alpha@_Phil_Wilson_@Arthur_van_Pelt Ok, I'm interested in the History:
But as an aside my uncle mined some bitcoin around 2011/12 and my auntie paniked and made him delete them. It was a very different time, and that part of Phils story it was entirely believable, because I remember the anxiety around BTC.
@vector2alpha@_Phil_Wilson_@Arthur_van_Pelt Ok I went through channel, it seems to be ranting about Craig, who is an enigma, but acknowledged he didnt do most of the coding.
So why does it bother you if Phil was the 3rd person or not? He's not been involved since 2010, so not 'scamming' anyone?
@vector2alpha@_Phil_Wilson_@Arthur_van_Pelt Yes I easily go off topic .. blame my ADHD!
I only have layperson knowledge of Bitcoin but it is fascinating area and will read up more.
I had quick look at Arthurs channel but I didn't yet see anything Re: Phils account.
