The Amherst Schools just received a bomb threat at Steele High School and Nord School. All district facilities are in lockdown and evacuation protocols will begin. @amherstpolice are on scene and coordinating safety measures. More information will be shared when possible.

Please read this update regarding the Lorain County tax exemptions. The Amherst Schools received a new update. Instead of a loss of $440,000 in revenue, the schools will potentially lose over $840,000 per year! @Comet_Connect @AsstCometSuper

Lorain County Commissioners voted to increase the Homestead Exemption yesterday. Our Treasurer received the email today with the following attachment. This decision could potentially CUT funding to the Amherst Schools by over $442,000 next school year.

The Amherst Schools have not asked citizens for new operating money since 2012. We are still providing an amazing education on a 2012 budget. The State of Ohio is NOT funding schools adequately. They are putting the burden on us locally. Not good! @Comet_Connect @AsstCometSuper

The Nord 3D printers are buzzing! Our 4th & 5th grade Computer Science Club designed custom keychains—a perfect intro to 3D design. Students explored layering shapes, adding text, and creating cutouts. Each unique keychain reflects their creativity & personality!
