Amazing haul this past Saturday at the @gothamcentralcc market!

Picked up a couple great issues for the reading pile with DC vs. Marvel Comics #1 & #2!

Also had some great help getting our Super7 collection started — this could get dangerous fast.

And last but definitely not least, grabbed some amazing original art prints from a local artist!

On June 2, 1942, Paul Terry introduced the world to a tiny hero with a mighty legacy: Mighty Mouse.

Originally named Super Mouse and inspired by the rise of Superman, this caped cartoon icon quickly became a star in his own right. Alongside his love interest Pearl Pureheart, the villainous Oil Can Harry, and Harry’s henchman Swifty, Mighty Mouse became a classic piece of animation history.

Small in size. Mighty in impact.

Happy anniversary to Action Comics #1 — the comic that didn’t just change the game, it launched the superhero era into the stratosphere!

This legendary issue gave us the debut of Lois Lane, the magical John Zatara, and of course, a certain mild-mannered reporter named Clark Kent… who just happened to also become the man of steel himself.. SUPERMAN!

Debuting in The Uncanny X-Men Annual #14 on May 29, 1990, the Ragin’ Cajun quickly became a mainstay in Marvel and X-Men history. Created by Chris Claremont and Jim Lee, Gambit has charged his way through comics, animation, games and movies with unmatched swagger.

36 years later, he’s still stealing hearts, chère… and lighting up the deck, mon ami.
