@Greg_Berck It seems NYS/NYSDOH are abdicating their responsibility to issue either new guidance (which governs schools) or a statement affirming current guidance. Its deplorable at that they refuse to offer direction!!
@educationweek The description is misleading. The conditions for going to 3 feet do not match many areas in the country - especially metropolitan areas. Now communities are confused.
@lohud@GarySternNY After reading the guidance closely, secondary schools in high infection zones as identified by the CDC which includes most of NY, must remain at 6 feet and barriers no longer count. Happy to discuss further.
Win and you’re in for @CommackSchools and @bshs_athletics boys hoops. After 1Q... The Marauders lead 19-7. The winner plays Brentwood tomorrow in the Conf I semi.
Win! and a next step for our athletes - NYS DOH updates guidelines and clears the way for "high risk" sports IF local health department approves. Commack is now advocating at the county level. #LetThemPlay#Mack#Athletes#CommackSchools
Dr. James and the members of the Board of Ed feel strongly that participation in athletic programs in our schools is important for our students and have sent letters to @NYGovCuomo & our NYS Senators and Assemblymen regarding the postponed 2020-2021 seasons. #CommackSchools
