If the @Commanders eventually make some uniform tweaks, this is a good place to start. Add the three center stripes back and go with a gloss finish. Cut the center stripes over the helmet gap. Adding some white trim around the “W” would also help. Easy fixes. H/T @DaneStorrusten

@_Dream_Out_Loud @discoque92 I don’t know. As bad as that play was, I’m not sure it would be remembered in the same light if we had won that game. Under this scenario, you also have to assume that he would have made subsequent big plays in the second half to make up for it.

@BangRadioHour @KalshiFB Agreed, and you saw that split personality a little bit in the NFC title game against the 49ers. Jumped out to a 21-0 lead and then had to hang on for dear life for the win. Mind you, that was a great SF team but that second half letdown seemed to carry forward to SB XVIII.

@BangRadioHour @KalshiFB Yep. As I was recently discussing with someone else, Rocket Screen and the blocked punt TD completely changed the tone of that game. Instead of 7-3 at halftime, it’s 21-3. Just too much to overcome.

@summo_13 @VinnysCorner1 If you take those two plays away, that game would have been 7-3 at halftime instead of 21-3. You may recall we marched down the field after halftime and scored on a short Riggins TD. We would have had the lead in the 3Q if not for those two plays. They were backbreakers.

@summo_13 @VinnysCorner1 Yep, I hear you. I think it was because it was so shocking. That ‘83 team was 14-2 in the regular season, steamrolled the Rams 51-7 in the NFC divisional and beat the Joe Montana-led 49ers in the NFC title game. Nobody saw that 38-9 loss coming in the SB.

@summo_13 @VinnysCorner1 Yep, that’s the one I thought of too. I was fairly young at the time but couldn’t believe we lost that game. The 23-19 divisional playoff loss at home to the Bears the following season would also qualify.

@Gcarmi21 @Commanders Yes, I recall they noted that when the new unis were formally unveiled but it’s nice to see it in this promo. I’m very happy that we have pant stripes back. It helps tie everything together. To echo your point, we now have consistency across the entire set.
