@joe_warmington It appears the cyclist refused to stop. Why? The police need to react in that case. He could be carrying a gun, not untypical these days. Could be drug running. Are police supposed to just let him get away? If you have nothing to hide, you stop when told to.
@SafeStreetsTO Nice video showing how many cyclists fail to stop at stop signs, how many illegally ride across the intersection not following the road markings, and how many illegally ride across pedestrian crossings.
@plant__vision@OnTeamReason@SafeStreetsTO Because collisions caused by cyclists are rarely reported. Typically, the cyclists hit and run, and when they do stop it is recorded in the same way as a motor vehicle collision, making it near impossible to break down the actual numbers.
@realLiamGill that serves predominantly as a mobile homeless shelter and drug addiction system., and a city clowncil that thinks everyone should stay within 15 walking distance of home. “World class” my arse!
@realLiamGill that those cities don’t have highways to the heart is purely density and history of the buildings. What does “world class” Toronto have? 3 subway lines that close down every weekend; trams that cause more congestion and pollution than they alleviate, a transit system 2/-
@itsahousingtrap Toronto’s problem is, everyone wants public infrastructure but (A) They don’t want to pay for it, (B) They don’t want it in their back yard. Torontonians are NIMBYs. Just look at the island airport debate.
@takeusout_lynda@AnnieHQ21 Stop spreading false information. Statins are not perfect, but they have saved hinders of millions of lives. There is no evidence that statins cause dementia. In fact, independent research indicates neuroprotective benefits.
@AnnieHQ21 Depends what you mean by “a score of 5.3”. Total cholesterol, or LDL. Total is borderline high; Non-HDL is very high. Get it down in either case. What’s your Framingham Score? What’s your Lipoprotein a level? Get it tested. CAD sneaks up on you and is not fun.
@HipBoom@GraphicMatt@TorontoStar That is no argument. Toronto voters are dumb. They don’t bother to look at policies, they look for familiar names and vote for them. Hence the same useless councillors keep getting elected.
