-50% Resident Evil 2 deal awaits on GOG!
On September 30, 1998, two months after the events of the first Resident Evil, most citizens of the Midwestern American mountain community of Raccoon City have been transformed into zombies by the T-virus, a biological weapon secretly developed by the pharmaceutical company Umbrella. Leon S. Kennedy, a Raccoon Police Department (R.P.D.) officer on his first day of duty, meets Claire Redfield, a college student looking for her brother Chris. After being separated, Leon and Claire each make their own way to the Raccoon Police Station. They discover that most of the R.P.D. has been killed, and that Chris has left town to investigate Umbrella's headquarters in Europe. They split up to look for survivors and find a way out of the city. While searching for an escape route, Claire meets a little girl, Sherry Birkin, who is on the run from an unknown creature, and Leon encounters Ada Wong, who claims to be looking for her boyfriend John, an Umbrella researcher from Chicago.

Zach Cregger outlines and reveals what his version of Resident Evil will be like 🎥
Following the success of Barbarian and Weapons, filmmaker Zach Cregger had several franchises interested in working with him. However, he chose Resident Evil for his third feature film: he approached the rights holders himself, driven by his deep passion for video games. His proposal features an original story, set in the franchise’s universe, with new characters and tension-filled scenes.
“They were kind enough to hear me out and let me run with it. It’s really a Zach Cregger movie that just happens to be a Resident Evil movie,” the director explained in an interview with Empire magazine.
The story centers on Bryan, a medical courier played by Austin Abrams, designed to represent the viewer:
“The concept here is that we’re following an idiot. Not that he’s stupid, but he’s not your typical game character, with no combat skills whatsoever and completely inept at survival. Bryan is very much an everyman who happens to be burdened with this kind of sacred mission that’s going to take him into the heart of everything. It’s kind of like Frodo going into Mordor.”
As for the pacing, Cregger promises a continuous, non-stop experience, a departure from the shifts in perspective and complex twists of his previous works:
“It feels like one gigantic sequence. Things pop off about five minutes in and it basically stays like that until the end. What I love about the games is that you move from set-piece to set-piece. Every location has a unique challenge. So again, I’m borrowing from the games directly in that rhythm, where you’re just running through a gauntlet.”
The film will hit theaters on September 18.

Requiem weapon. If Leon and Claire are married, it makes me curious: what if Claire Redfield bought this weapon for Leon as an anniversary gift? (Just an "if," not a conclusion.) To tell you the truth, I like this weapon.
