Bright spot of my weekend

We made it on the show 😂

[Pat McAfee @PatMcAfeeShow]

JEEZE LOUISE Commanders fans 😂😂

#IDontWantToOverreactBUT #PMSLive

[Hugh @CommandersPost]

Interim head coach of this turns south

[Mike Garafolo @MikeGarafolo]

The #Commanders have hired Steve Wilks to work with the defensive coaches under Dan Quinn and Daronte Jones, per me and @RapSheet. The decision to hire Wilks was made last month. He started last week.

Wilks will help with game planning. He won't be with the team on game days.

@DistrictFilmRm @MarkBullockNFL @nick_akridge My first thought was also inverted 2, but I think it’s just the middle field safety in cover 3 saying “I know you’re not gonna throw this so I’m not gonna play it. They showed middle field closed pre snap and he didn’t budge. A cover 2 CB wouldn’t have bailed that quick on AW.

[Hugh @CommandersPost]

If he hits FA that would be a slam dunk here with Chig and Bates

[Jordan Schultz @Schultz_Report]

#Lions TE Sam LaPorta on not getting a contract extension:

“It’s disappointing that you go out there every week and bear the risk of getting hurt. Like last year, I broke my f—ing back for the team. And then I’m going out there this year and I’m balling, and maybe they’re just not showing the love.

“I’m going to continue to do my thing and ball out, and in three months, if I don’t get to wear the Honolulu blue and play for the Lions anymore, it’s going to be all good. I’ll go get paid somewhere else. So whatever.”

[Hugh @CommandersPost]

@dmvkhii @Blaszeyboy @DMVCommanders I get that you can’t expect perfection. I’m just saying if we’re going to criticize anything it’s the throw itself not the decision. There’s a lot of people criticizing him deciding not to throw to Diggs.

[Hugh @CommandersPost]

Interesting.

Let’s DQ focus on the offensive side a little bit more

@DeclassifiedWft Scherff was a PB/AP for like 6 consecutive seasons and was elite almost immediately after getting drafted. His only downside was health.

The goat

I’m not ready to say goodbye, #17 💔

[Hugh @CommandersPost]

@ChadwikoTWW This is the play design. The DT timed the count perfect and John Bates had the reaction time of a sloth. The play is run around the league it was just a quick play by the DT.

[Hugh @CommandersPost]

@CoachTatum90 I’m a take your shot on 2nd and short play caller but this is a good tendency breaker.

[Hugh @CommandersPost]

@Blaszeyboy @DMVCommanders Jayden’s made better throws with more pressure

[Hugh @CommandersPost]

@jake_dunton_ Nah he’d say simplified if that was the case

Streamlined is more about making processes more efficient. I think this is a shot at the staff of anything.

[Hugh @CommandersPost]

DQ said “streamlined” like 50 times in his presser today

[Hugh @CommandersPost]

@tyschmit @PatMcAfeeShow get this master… baiter on the show I need some context

[Dan Orlovsky @danorlovsky7]

My goodness the Jayden Daniels film

[Hugh @CommandersPost]

1-4-1 DQ probably told the team this morning

“We’re right there guys we just gotta clean up the penalties and we’ll be in the right space”

6-0 Kyle Shanahan after a W probably said “WTF was that we should be embarrassed by that second half performance.”

[Hugh @CommandersPost]

@Tiller56 I’m all for criticism of him but I’m also gonna call out criticism if it’s wrong

[Denton Day (D-Day) @TheDentonDay]

This playcall isn't bad. Mustapha just reads it like a book.

Mustapha was the best 49er player for a majority of the second half

[Hugh @CommandersPost]

@Tiller56 @GrantPaulsen A screenshot doesn’t tell you anything.

Pre snap Alignemnt from the defense is one high middle field closed. That automatically takes a post out of the read. The safety didn’t get depth which makes him open but Jayden was never looking there.

[Hugh @CommandersPost]

@JoshTaylorFB Steve smith is so good at this
