I give up. You win, Colorado.
You win @jaredpolis and @coloradodemocrats.
Congratulations.
You chased us out. We have lived here for most of our adult lives, but the beauty is no longer worth the death by a thousand fees and regulations that you have inflicted upon us.
This was not an easy decision. Moving to another state is an expensive undertaking. Researching a place to go. Selling your home. Buying a new one. Uprooting your family. Relocating your business. It’s easily a 100k endeavor.
Fortunately, I have the means to do this. Many people do not and they are trapped under your oppression.
What could be so bad? It wasn’t just one thing, but a series of moves that told me exactly what you think of me and my freedom.
Some examples from my mental list of evidence showing a that Colorado is barreling toward somewhere dark and frightening.
1. The evidence of a corrupt voting system is now overwhelming. A terminally ill grandma went to jail when she pointed it out. You tried to keep a presidential candidate off the ballot.
2. You value illegal aliens over the citizens you are supposed to protect.
3. You decided that fees are not taxes and used this to expand your control.
4. You tell us that those tax increases are for roads and education, but the money always ends up somewhere else. Where did the marijuana revenue go? No one can say.
5. You squandered a healthy economy and a budget surplus in just a few short years. Property taxes are set to explode. Home insurance is astronomical if you can get it at all.
6. You can’t even keep the electricity flowing when the wind blows.
7. You methodically remove my right to self defense and then release the predators into our midst.
8. Denver is now a hellhole of drugs and bums. No one goes there anymore, it’s to dangerous. Downtown real estate is essentially worthless.
9. Schools secretly transition children and break apart families.
10. You took away my plastic grocery bags. I hate you for this indignity.
Do I need to go on?
You view me as a source of money to be siphoned off. A workhorse to be whipped and bridled. You steal my wealth and use it for fraud, power, and personal gain. No more.
I am taking my business, selling my expensive home, and moving my family to Tennessee. I am doing it while I still can. It’s only going to get worse. Much worse.
I urge anyone else who can to do the same. Research locations that still value your freedom and protect your rights.
Protect your wealth and your freedom.
Get out while you can. It is later than you think.
This is the easiest way to explain immigration to even the algae drinkers.
If you are not a legal American, you don’t have American rights.
It’s that simple.
I just heard @ScottPresler say the truest thing I’ve heard today:
“The contempt that they treated me with, that’s the exact same contempt they have for you.”
And he is 100% right.
@LeaderJohnThune has contempt for WE THE PEOPLE.
He doesn’t believe he owes us respect.
He believes he is above us in every way.
JUSTICE THOMAS: “[A]liens have no equal protection rights against the Federal Government.”
This should be the baseline position for every single GOP politician and lawyer, and we should tolerate nothing less.
So let me get this straight.
If a grandma takes a selfie in the Capitol, that’s an existential threat to democracy, the darkest day since Pearl Harbor, and proof that half the country needs to be watched by the FBI.
But if Antifa-linked radicals are tied to a coordinated attack involving tactical gear, weapons, explosives, disabled cameras, and a law enforcement officer shot in the neck, suddenly we need to have a very mature conversation about “lawfare”?
Is that the new standard?
A MAGA hat near a velvet rope is an insurrection, but black-clad militants near an ICE facility with gear and explosives are “protesters”?
A guy wandering around with face paint is basically Jefferson Davis, but the second Antifa catches serious prison time, the media starts dimming the lights, cueing the sad piano music, and whispering about “dissent”?
How does this magic trick work, exactly?
Do the guns become less gunny if the politics are progressive?
Do explosives become free speech if you hate ICE hard enough?
Does a shot cop turn into a footnote once the headline says “anti-ICE protest”?
That’s the whole scam.
They are not arguing the facts. They are laundering the label.
Because “armed attack” sounds bad.
“Attempted murder conviction” sounds worse.
“Officer shot in the neck” ruins the vibe completely.
So they reach for the only word left in the narrative first-aid kit:
“Protest.”
And just like that, the street army becomes a choir of misunderstood activists.
The Left didn’t discover principles.
They discovered their own people got sentenced.

🚨NOW: Rep. Brandon Gill GOES HARD against Democrat food stamps witness
GILL: "Do you satiate hunger with Coca-Cola? [...] Is your organization funded by organizations that make money from food stamps?"
WITNESS: *Silence*
GILL: "Do organizations who profit off food stamps fund your organization?"
WITNESS: "I can't comment to that."
GILL: "Does General Mills fund your organization?"
WITNESS: "I don't have access to that information."
GILL: "I do. It's right here. They do fund your organization. Do they profit off food stamps?"
WITNESS: "Retailers are the major beneficiaries."
GILL: "Do you think that's a conflict of interest? They're profiting off your advocacy. Do you think that's a conflict of interest?"
*Silence*
"Most people think that's a conflict of interest. I know you don't want to answer."
@RepBrandonGill
Here is one of the ways things get more expensive for middle class and lower middle class America.
The vast majority of taxes are paid by the top earners here. When that money is just lost or given to people or efforts that are not meant to enrich actual tax payers and services (police, fire, road paving, park maintenance, etc) your quality of life dips.
You will pop tires in potholes, you will not be able to take your kids to the park, you will not have enough police to answer your calls, you will not have enough firemen to put out your fires, your sales tax will increase, and the cost of everything you need rises in order to cover the “tax the rich” efforts placed on successful businesses and individuals.
Politicians are stealing from your quality of life. It’s not just “tax the rich” and that won’t affect you. It’s “take the tax dollars and lose or give it away.” It won’t flow down to you and your services like it should.
And it happens with the passing of bills like this that few people even hear about.
Careful who you vote for. Like @spencerpratt says, “We have the money. It’s just being stolen.”
BREAKING: In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court ruled that Hawaii’s anti-concealed carry laws violate the Second Amendment and compared Hawaii’s laws to attempts to disarm blacks after the Civil War. Alito wrote the opinion.
